Prospera Case Study
A business case study for a Guadalajara nonprofit helping women become micro-entrepreneurs.
Prospera is a Guadalajara based nonprofit that helps local women become micro-entrepreneurs. As part of my graduate work in Information and Communication Technology for Development, I co-authored a social entrepreneurship case study and teaching note on Prospera's business model, focused on how the organization might explore product potential in the US LOHAS market (lifestyles of health and sustainability).
A case study and teaching note is meant to be taught from — used in a classroom to walk students through the real strategic choices a real organization faced. Writing one means understanding a business well enough to turn its hardest decisions into something other people can learn from. It's the analyst's side of how I work, sitting next to the technical-writing side.
