Gaia.com Community Platform
A custom online community that grew to 700,000 members in nine months.
At Gaiam — a lifestyles-of-health-and-sustainability (LOHAS) company — my title was, officially, "Virtual Community Guru." I worked with our team to design and shipped Gaia.com, a community platform from the ground up: information architecture, onboarding, and the engagement systems that keep people coming back, all built on Ruby on Rails.
Leveraing Gaiam's various assets, we reached more than 700,000 members in just nine months.
