Bob and His Amazing Journey Home
A DOS puzzle game built in high school, published through Soft Disk, and still playable in a browser 30 years later.
Bob and His Amazing Journey Home is a puzzle game โ push blocks, avoid lasers, collect keys, and reach the exit. The game runs at 640x480 with 256 colors and uses PC speaker sound. I built Bob in high school and self-published it under my Zaskoda Soft label.
It was distributed by Soft Disk, the legendary shareware house where id Software got their start, and somehow ended up featured on an Information Society album. It has accumulated roughly 10,000 plays on DOSGames.com, rated 3.5/5, and is still playable in a browser via DOSBox thirty years later.
