I finally finished editing the video and pics together for my traditional montage. Wolf Creek is an amazing place. I’ve got a few more WC related posts to make in the future. Meanwhile, enjoy the video from our trip!
I’ve been trying to shoot video here at Wolf Creek, but I haven’t captured much that really tells what its like here. The clip below is of Freerider (same guy in the photo of the last post) running ahead of me through the trees. It gives a good idea of what the powder is like here…
It took me a little while to cut this one. I need to switch to a better piece of editing software. Anyway, that’s the video of Velzy and I in Steamboat Springs. Looks like I’m gonna have one more trip this season and that’s about all. It’s already a great season, so I’m content. Enjoy the video.
We really dig the Sobe terrain park here… It’s easy to get a view across the park from the top and there’s a variety of stuff to play on. The best part is the lift dedicated to taking you up to the top of the park (or pipe).
Today Velzy and I also found a smaller park with the tiniest little rail I’ve ever seen… thing was no more than 2 feet long. It also had a nifty mini-pipe that we both tried out. I think the walls were somewhere in the range of 4 or 5 feet tall. It was just enough to get a feel for going up the walls and turning around.
Anyway, here’s a quick video showing a pan of the Sobe park:
