New Dallas Snowboarders Video
Jayne whipped up this video from a recent multi-mountain trip. I’m only in a few clips and photos myself. There are some entertaining falls… in fact, this video has a whole lot of falls…

My buddy Russ came up a little while back and we shot video on one of the days he was here. The above clip was his edit from the one day of riding. I thought he did a hell of a great job cutting the video to the music. His equipment is top notch too, making for some really clean footage. It’s too bad I didn’t get more of him in the park. Maybe next time.
Some of my friends are getting into the kiteboarding thing. It looks like fun. I almost got to try it in Chile, but we didn’t have enough wind. Here’s a rather snazzy vid that was recently posted to DallasSnowboarders.com.
I was doing some hard drive cleanup before running off to Thanksgiving dinner and I ran across an old video. Several of my recent posts have had subtle and not-so-subtle references to someone I like to call “My Surf Teacher” in this blog. The video was a montage I made of her learning to snowboard over the years.
Sharing life and experiences with this person for the last five years has been a blessing. Generally speaking, I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a good life, good friends, a good job, and a good family. However, when I sit down in front of a dead bird with new friends tonight, I will thank the universe, most of all, for all the time I’ve gotten to spend with the star of this video:
Can you tell she’s a long boarder? She makes those long smooth carves. Maybe we’ll ride again some day. I hope so. For right now, I’m just asking the universe to give her peace of mind and a lots of joy. In fact, I’m sure she’s catching one perfect wave after another today. That makes me smile. Time for me to go eat Turkey!
I don’t know what to say. Other than sick riding, this teaser video has some of the best camera work I’ve ever seen. There’s some awesome editing work in there too. The ending of the teaser is gut wrenching. I’ll be picking it up later.
This video came from Jayne on DallasSnowboarder.com. She is the bikini clad girl snowboarding in the video itself. I cut a small video after almost every trip I go on – but this time she beat me to it. I might still roll one of my own sometime, but for now I’ll be sharing the one above. The only adventure she didn’t touch on was the fire in our room! Otherwise, it’s a good overview of our trip in general. Enjoy the video. If you just have to know more, Jayne also posted a trip report.
I’ve finally reached a milestone. With this latest video edit, I’ve finally gone back and made a video cut for every snowboarding trip I’ve shot video on (I think). This one is the oldest of the batch so it’s none too impressive. I spent less than a few hours on it as well… but it’s great to be finished!
I finally finished editing the video and pics together for my traditional montage. Wolf Creek is an amazing place. I’ve got a few more WC related posts to make in the future. Meanwhile, enjoy the video from our trip!
